Matt Murillo is the newest addition to the Law Offices of Paula Canny. Matt is a competent cool headed lawyer who brings with him a breath of life experience ranging from Nicaraguan roots, working with gold metal athlete (WNBA All-Star Cynthia Cooper at USC), to fatherhood, and authoring a published scholarly Law Review article entitled “Did Voter Suppression Win President Trump the Election: the Decimation of the Voting Rights Act and the Importance of Section 5”.
Matt graduated from the University of San Francisco and went on to the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he passed the Bar Exam on his first try. Matt is smart, competent, and dedicated to his clients. He is an excellent negotiator and his compassion makes him an effective advocate because he understands and appreciates collateral consequences and the ripple effect of involvement in the Criminal Justice System. Matt is committed to defending and helping anyone caught in the Criminal Justice System, and especially minorities because of the inequities within the Criminal Justice System. Matt is a member of La Raza. He speaks fluent Spanish.
Matt strives to be a leader, to help people and to better our community.
